No other race anywhere in the world keeps as many detailed records as the Lake Atwood Ten Mile. If you run the Ten Mile in Atwood, you become part of the written history of a race that has received national attention from RUNNERS WORLD magazine and RUNNING TIMES magazine.

Results for 2018

The 45th annual Lake Atwood Ten Mile and 8 K races were held on July 22, 2018.  

The Ten Mile race was won by Joe Moore of Manhattan, Ks with a time of 52:51.40. Second was Chris Melgares of Manhattan, Ks with a time of 55:51.36. Connor Roche, Colorado Springs, CO was third with a time of 58:33.46. Lukas Koch, Manhattan, KS finished 4th with a time of 61:51.61.

The top women finishers were: First: Jennifer Valentine from Colorado Springs, CO with a time of 68:02:51; Second: Stacey Briggs of Independence, KS with a time of 80:33.82 and third: Kaley Hauxwell of Imperial, NE with a time of 90:45.94.

In the 8K event, the overall winner was Mike Filey of Hays, Ks with a time of 55:35.39.  Shelly Stahley Topeka, Ks was the top women’s finisher with a time of 73:46.92
